This case has a multitude of uses for any items that are long and thin that need some type of medium protection. Examples of items can be anything from telescopes, fishing poles, lighting truss rods, poles, stands, Etc. The uses are limitless, The two halves of the case are both approx 47 1/2" deep and when you telescope them together you can get up to 90" inside length leaving at least a 5" overlap on the two halves of the case. One continuios 1 1/2" webbing adjustable strap goes all the way around keeping the two halves of the case securely closed against what items you choose to put inside.

* Note - even though the foam lining is dense, anything with sharp or non rounded edges can rip the foam as you slide it into the case. We suggest that you put a piece of cardboard on the inside bottom side of each half of the case that the unit slides on so you don't rip the foam pushing in and pulling out of the case.
